Bikes get treated differently from cars in transport, and if you’re shipping one from Pune for the first time, it’s worth knowing why. A motorcycle or scooter isn’t just strapped down the way a car is — it usually needs to be crated or securely mounted so it doesn’t shift, tip, or take scratches from vibration over a long drive.

We see two kinds of bike transport requests out of Pune fairly evenly: people relocating and taking their bike with them, and people who’ve bought a bike here (used or new) and are shipping it home to another city. Both work the same way on our end, though relocations tend to come with tighter timelines tied to a move-out date.

The packing process matters more for bikes than people expect. Depending on the distance and your bike’s value, we either use a wooden crate (more protection, standard for longer routes) or a secured open-carrier strap setup for shorter, quicker trips. Fuel is drained down to a safe minimal level before loading, and mirrors or anything that sticks out gets wrapped separately.

Pickup itself works the same as car transport — someone from our team comes to your address in Pune, inspects the bike, photographs its condition, and logs it against your tracking ID before it’s packed. From there you can check status the same way you would for a car shipment.

On pricing: bike transport is naturally cheaper than car transport given the size difference, but it still scales with distance the same way. A bike heading to Mumbai costs noticeably less than one going to Chennai or Delhi. Ask for a quote with your specific pickup point in Pune and destination — general estimates online rarely match what you’ll actually pay once real numbers are involved.

We don’t require the bike to be spotless before pickup, for what it’s worth — a reasonable amount of everyday wear or road dust isn’t something our inspection flags. What we’re documenting is the bike’s actual condition (dents, scratches, missing parts) so there’s a clear record, not judging how recently it was washed.

If you’re shipping a bike you’ve just bought secondhand in Pune, it helps to have the transfer paperwork at least in progress before pickup — not strictly required on our end, but it avoids any confusion about who the registered owner is if that comes up during transit checks on the highway.
